"If all else fails, read the manual"
This page contains answers to common questions that
people ask me, along with some tips
and tricks that I have found useful and presented here as questions.
Note: In these answers I will follow a few shorthand conventions for describing user-interface
procedures. Key combinations will be presented like this: Ctrl+Alt+Delete, which means that you
should press and hold down the Control key, the Alt key, and the Delete key at the same time.
Menu selections will be presented like this: File->Open, which means that you should open the File
menu, and then make the Open selection. The expression x:\i386
makes reference to a folder called i386 on a removable drive where the x:\ would
be replaced by the appropriate drive letter on the individual computer An
example is x:\i386 might need to be changed to
d:\i386 if the local CD drive is the d:\ drive.
